We frequently stay at HGIs during road trips and have always found them to be reliably clean, well-maintained, and well-run. This one met all of these requirements handily, but also stood out for having exceptionally accommodating and friendly staff, a large room, and a nice bar / restaurant. We also liked the free parking and the location -- convenient to both the university and the highway. We have added it to our very short list of places to revisit.

I was there to visit my daughter who is studying at Virginia Tech. The location is not perfect but very good. The breakfast was satisfactory in terms of varieties. We were given a voucher for breakfast during the check-in although it was not included in the booking. That was very kind of the management. We really appreciate it.

We stayed in a double queen room that was spacious, the room AC wasn't noisy, breakfast options were good, and they said they would update to MTO. Hotel is convenient located close to road and VT. The staff was very helpful.

Beautiful! So many nice amenities. We arrived Christmas Day. There were cookies and hot chocolate. They closed the restaurant but they did so for their employees to enjoy Christmas with their family and friends. I loved that. It was a very nice stay for my husband and I while grieving the loss of our 23 year old son.

I loved the room setup and the comfortable bed. There was a full service bar downstairs which was a nice addition. The bathroom was great with a walk in shower and comfortable towels. There was a nice TV as well.

Liked everything except cleanliness of room. Bed and sheet very clean. Bathroom very clean just paper supplies ran out after first hour being there

It was good for one night stay. Shower was not hot & smell of sewer & problem with flushing toilet in the morning. Overall though not bad- we had a quick trip & did us well.

For a place to stay in Blacksburg, it's always reliable. I've been staying here whenever we have Virginia Tech business or leisure visits (over 10 yrs). This property has outdoor seating that is garden like, an indoor bar area AND several indoor gathering areas that feel private. You can have peaceful quiet relaxation, swim/workout, do your work, or bring friends to meet you there for a bit of low key entertaining.
